What health care organizations are connected by the Santa Cruz Health Information Exchange (SCHIE)?
Dominican Hospital and Watsonville Community Hospital, Elysium connects labs – Quest, Lapcorp, Huter Labs, Associated Pathology Medical Group – and PMG affiliated physicians. Through Elysium users can receive admit /discharge notes, operative notes, lab and radiology results from Dominican and Watsonville Community Hospitals and ADT or demographic data from Watsonville. Elysium also delivers results from Radiology Medical Group, Santa Cruz Comprehensive Imaging, Santa Cruz Sleep Disorder Center, Santa Cruz Surgery Center notes and Central Coast Endoscopy Notes and Watsonville Wound Center Notes.
What transactions does Elysium support?
Elysium creates an electronic patient chart containing all testing results , Quest lab orders ,mammogram orders, prescriptions, progress notes , chart notes , consult notes and letters, authorization requests and approved authorizations, referrals, and interoffice communications regarding patient issues and phone calls if the office uses the memo feature to enter that information.
Can I e-Prescribe through Elysium?
Yes, and users who use Elysium e-prescribing qualify for the Medicare e-Prescribing Bonus. Prescription renewal requests, authorizations, denials and new prescriptions can be electronically conveyed between physicians and all major pharmacies through Elysium. This is currently a complementary service available to affiliated providers.
What does Elysium cost?
Elysium is provided and maintained without charge to PMG member providers. New staff and refresher training courses are available on a regular basis and upon request.
Does Elysium integrate with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR)?
For practices using Practice Partner the electronic bridge between the EMR and Elysium already exists. For practices who have a different EMR, and are interested in bridging data between their EMR and Elysium, PMG Technology Solutions can build an interface for a fee. Please contact PMG Technology Solutions for information specific to your EMR.
Can I access Elysium with any internet ready device?
Elysium users can access and manage patient information in Elysium from any device with internet access – their office, home, hospital, PDA etc.
Is Elysium HIPAA compliant?
Yes, Elysium strictly adheres to the policies set forth by HIPAA.
How many transactions occur over Elysium?
The total number of transactions is constantly growing, currently approximately 13000 lab orders are sent to Quest electronically through Elysium each quarter.
Can Elysium be used for any patient?
Elysium can be used for any patient the doctor sees, regardless of what coverage they have. Elysium is not limited to those patients that have coverage through a PMG administered health plan.
Is Elysium an accredited EMR?
Yes, Elysium is a certified EMR, though it does not have the features and integration capacity that more robust products provide.
What if you want to communicate patient information with an office that does not use Elysium?
Documents can be shared in Elysium with any provider who exists in the Elysium address book. If the office does not actively use Elysium, documents forwarded in Elysium will be automatically delivered to the provider via fax. The user does not need to consider if the provider office uses Elysium actively or not. When a new provider joins PMG, they will be automatically added to the system.
