Key Features

Clinical Messaging®
Clinical Messaging is the foundation of the Elysium EMR. Users are able to communicate about patients with others in their practice or with other practices connected to the exchange. Through Clinical Messaging, users may share patient encounters, memos, referrals, authorization requests and much more. Automated faxing capabilities are included to facilitate communication with physicians who are not electronically connected.

Workflow Management
Physicians and their staff can electronically manage all incoming data and dramatically reduce or eliminate the need to pull or store paper charts. Physicians can create orders, sign documents and delegate tasks to clinical and office staff. Customized forms can be created to capture clinical encounter information. Elysium EMR allows physician consults, patient memos, referrals, authorizations requests and so forth to be delivered electronically to the EMR, or by fax for non-automated practices. Laboratory and radiology results can be electronically transferred between practices and stored in the EMR for quality reporting and patient care.

e-Prescribing
Prescription refill requests and new prescriptions can be electronically communicated by the physicians and pharmacists through the Surescripts electronic prescribing health information exchange. e-Prescribing streamlines the clinical workflow process and increases administrative accuracy resulting in increased patient satisfaction. When fully implemented, Elysium EMR can reduce a medical office’s prescription related labor by as much as 60%.

Medication Management
Using the Surescripts network, Elysium EMR retrieves and displays pharmacy benefits, formulary information and medication history, enabling providers to prescribe within formulary guidelines and to reconcile the patients active medication list at every point of care. Prescribers are alerted to interactions, dosage issues, and duplicate prescriptions based on preferences. The medication management features of e-Prescribing help physicians meet all incentives and reimbursement opportunities while saving time and lives with medication reconciliation.

Encounter Recording
Encounter recording simplifies patient encounter documentation. A wide range of encounter recording forms, transcription templates and office memos such as business letters, consents and public health notifications are available and easily customized, suiting a variety of community practice and specialty needs. Transcription services can upload dictated notes and business process automation is supported through automatic printing and processing for common work flow processes.

Patient Summaries
Patient summaries can be viewed and printed. Information in a patient’s summary includes consent preferences, medications, allergies, demographics, contacts, advanced directives, vaccination and problem lists. Elysium EMR users can easily produce Continuity of Care Documents, according to national standards.

Referrals and Consults Referrals and consults can be electronically exchanged between providers. No more faxing, waiting, or receiving incomplete information. Reconciliation features clearly indicate when referrals have been completed.

Clinical Decision Support Clinical Decision Support provides critical value alerts, risk factor flags, and clinical intelligence to avoid errors. Alerts and notifications based on health maintenance or disease-specific patient attributes can be generated.

e-Signature Physicians electronically review, edit and sign transcribed reports easily from any web browser using Elysium EMR. One Click Signature is built-in: Once the report is opened, a single click approves the report, files it in the patients electronic medical record within Elysium EMR. Staff in the physician’s office can also easily print the signed document. Signed copies can be automatically distributed among collaborating providers.
